Toronto has one of the world’s longest running and largest Goth scenes in the world. For decades our city has been home to multiple venues, shops, and events dedicated to the children of the night.
For all of that, it seems odd that we don’t have a regular celebration of our vibrant and varied community and sub-culture that brings together people from all aspects of the scene to celebrate our unique music, style, and philosophy while promoting and supporting local venues, artists and musicians.
Toronto Goth Weekend is a collection of events for the Goth community taking place over the third weekend in August, with additional celebrations and event weekends to celebrate Halloween and World Goth Day.
For each of these weekends, we bring together all known events and parties in the Greater Toronto Area, in one handy website, to assist your planning, and to help promote local alternative businesses.
Toronto Goth Weekend is maintained by the team from Stained Productions and Toronto Goth Events. We have been hosting and promoting events since the mid-1990s, and have produced a variety of events for the alternative community including concerts, markets, book/record launches, and weekend-long music festivals.
Our goal is to help promote local dark and alternative businesses, venues, artists, musicians, and events by emphasizing three specific weekends throughout the year that hold meaning and importance to our community.
Everyone is welcome to take part, either by hosting/promoting an event, or as an attendee.
